"Big Rock Candy Mountain" gets flame broiled

burgerkingdariusYeah, yeah, I know.  We'd be remiss for not writing about the latest from Burger King, featuring....umm, well, pretty much everything random you could come up with to participate in an advertisement.

lazyFAT has the deets on Crispin Porter + Bogusky's David LaChapelle spot where Darius Rucker partakes in some familiar imagery - if you've seen the Wizard of Oz, of course.  It wasn't bad enough that the WOO had a ton of political imagery on its own, now it has to get spoofed off even more.

You can check out the whole ad here at 'boards.  Oh, and if the song is familiar to me but you just don't know why, it's based off of Harry McClintock's "Big Rock Candy Mountain" - it's...slightly different now, though.

This has my vote for the best spot of the moment, at least this week.
