Yum! Brands is going old school with its KFC stores, changing some back to the old Kentucky Fried Chicken name and utilizing a fresher image of Colonel Sanders. While the apron might not be a huge addition to the slicked-up image of the Colonel, the "switch" back to the stores' old name is definitely curious.
If the move to change to KFC in the first place was to get away from "fried" and to utilize the name that most people were already calling the restaurants, then why would you ever revert back to it? Has the word "fried" lost its negative image or something?

1. First it was Kentucy Fried Chicken, then they switched to KFC. Then thier was a brief flirtation with "Kitchen Fresh Chicken" Then it's back to KFC, and now finally they're back where we started. What's next, Krusty's Famous Chicken?
