Online Ad Checklist: AdSense images, evolution, and click fraud

clicksIn today's edition of the Online Advertising Checklist, Google AdSense images aren't so hot for some, looking at how AdSense has grown, clickfraud, and the latest marketing attempt to bring in publishers.

  • Fred Wilson lays a smackdown on his Google AdSense stats, which he claims went into the can after repeated instances of the image advertisements started showing up on his blog
  • Sharon Housley details the evolution of Google AdSense over at WebProNews
  • It's no wonder companies are flipping out about click fraud when people are publishing a list purported to be the "Top 100 paying keywords." If your site says "This information will help you determine what keywords you should use in your Pay-Per-Text to earn the most $$$" then you're obviously attempting to game the system.
  • JenSense is enjoying the latest demo of the Google AdSense program, which I have to admit is pretty slick.
