DC Comics gets a refresher

dccomicsWhat do we think about DC Comics' new logo? Some, including blogger DC (no relation, apparently), think it's kind of plain. If anything, they were clearly aiming for today's swooshy world of slick little spacy logos that infer movement.

At the end of the day, though, are we looking for our comic book publisher logos to be all trendy, or are today's readers looking at comic books as a way to harken back to the olden days when people actually read things made of paper? I'll go with the thought that DC is gunning for today's readers, who are probably going to be reading their comics online, and who appreciate the slicker, faster DC logo.
