The company MoviePlacement is auctioning off placement of a product, logo or service in an upcoming Liam Neeson movie for $24,999. This is an odd way to go about securing product placement. It seems to me that using eBay for something like this has more to do with raising awareness of the company than it does of actually putting a product in a movie. How many people had heard of MoviePlacement before? Not me. And do the producers of this upcoming Liam Neeson flick know about this? If this is for Steven Spielberg's Abraham Lincoln biopic they're going to have a hard time with it if, say, Trio is the winner of the auction. To date there have been no bids which I am just shocked at. Using eBay to secure product placement
