If you thought the ad campaigns for Las Vegas were good before, then you ain't seen nothin' yet. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has just kicked off its latest addition to the "Only Vegas" campaign, one about coming up with good alibis about what you were doing while you were in Vegas, so as not to break that "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" slogan. Three funny television ads have hit the airwaves, with a focus on three key markets: Denver, Seattle, and Detroit - the Denver Post is reporting. Along with those ads, some nifty online tools have been created for your alibi-creating pleasure.
First off, the Vegas Alibi Generator 3000 - a "machine" that asks you nine questions, and based on your response will tell you what your alibi will be, including some tips on how to "back it up." Even better than that is the section giving pointers on evidence that you can bring back home with you in order to prove you were doing certain things, like golfing, dining, or shopping. But as cool as those things are, nothing can take the place of the Las Vegas Photo Faker, which takes regular old scenes of various Vegas sights and places you in them, after you upload a photo of yourself, and get "into" those situations - then send the photo to others, online. Thanks, Vegas - for backing us all up.

1. So what does the "Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Authority" have to do with Vegas? Is LA trying to push people out to Vegas? Is there some kind of partnering deal?
