Sheryl Crow sings songs for Dell

It always amused me when the press refers to Sheryl Crow as a "rocker". Makes me wonder if the writer has ever listened to a Liz Phair record.

Musical snobbishness aside, Crow will begin appearing in television ads for computer maker and retailer Dell. The spots will feature Crow crooning her latest single "Good is Good". So you actually get two ads in one: The blatant one for Dell and the secondary one for Crow's new album. Crow was apparently chosen from among a field of candidates because, according to Dell's spokesman, she's a technology user and is accessible to their audience. Translation: She's inoffensive to residents of the suburbs Dell counts on to buy computers.
