Chicken of the Sea knows what you're thinking

chickenotheseaYou usually don't see a lot of advertising for canned tuna fish, but you might see a bit more of it if Chicken of the Sea's latest endeavor gets popular here in the states. In the company's newest spot, we see an attractive young blond woman strutting her way through an office lobby or hallway on her way to an elevator, her exposed midriff attracting glances from all around the room. As she enters the elevator and the doors close, let's just say she "lets her hair down."

The company's thought process behind the ad was to focus on the female population who are interested in ways of eating more healthy foods on an everyday basis - and the tuna fish comes with a low amount of fat, so it makes some people happy. In a way, it's like taking the "sex sells" mantra (yes, it's a mantra, not a theory or concept at this point) and flipping the switch once you've got everyone hooked. Thumbs up from me! Expect to see the ad hit some over-the-air television and cable later on this month.

In the meantime, you can view the ad here [QuickTime] and see more of the mermaid and Co. at the company's website.
