Students look at errors in ads

While I won't bore you with a long list of reasons, I will say that I am not a fan of corporate advertising in schools. I find it detrimental to overall educational development, not to mention intrusive and unnecessary. This helps to explain why I love this site so much, a project by the students of Frank H. Hammond Elementary School. The kids look at several corporate signs and logos and then point out the "mistakes" in each of them, such as Burger King spelled in all caps, or the use of "too" instead of "two" in "Limited Too." In a world where they're bombarded with advertising, taking a scrutinizing look at the world around them can only be beneficial to these kids.
