Counting on success in one arena to translate into success in another, advertisers are falling over themselves trying to line up the women from ABC's hit show Desperate Housewives for their campaigns. What the people behind these endorsements are counting on is the name/face recognition that comes with a well-known person hawking their product. Even the men from the show are getting in on the act, though with less brouhaha and pomp than the ladies. When/if the show tanks next season or moves into Melrose Place territory plot-wise you can expect this to pretty much stop while advertisers move on to whatever the next breakout show is.










1. This become a good profit among marketers to set around the glow of the program, even some of the actors who play the desperate househusbands and boyfriends are getting their spot in the advertising attention.
