Cotton Inc. is launching a new campaign which will utilize online banner ads, TV spots, as well as print and cinema ads. The TV spots are just one of several new spots from different companies which will debut during MTV's Video Music Awards. The first is called "Storefronts" and features a woman ambling past stores with names like "Play Clothes," "Work Clothes," and finally, "Clothes That Get You Fired." I assume it's funnier when you see it. The other spot features a woman speaking to a roomful of clones about which dress to wear. I liked it better when cotton was "the fabric of our lives," because it subtly implied that other fabrics were "fabrics of death," and nobody wants that.
