Over on his blog, Chief WINner Jason Calacanis is talking about the inclusion of Amazon's affiliate links into various sites in the Weblogs, Inc. Network. Specifically, he's wondering about how readers would feel about links -- outside of the commentary in a post -- to various items, with those links carrying affiliate hyperlink code that would obviously earn WIN money if readers purchased anything. This is a great topic to discuss, and I'm happy to be associated with a company who has chosen to do so in a public forum - and I think we all know that if the users/readers have solid feedback, that it'll definitely be kept in mind when a decision is ultimately made. I, for one, know I have blogged elsewhere with links to songs on iTunes' affiliate play, typically in a "playlist" post or something like that - but on a personal-ish website, not something with a true revenue drive behind it - is that a different story?
Head on over there and chime in, if you've got something to say!
