Gizmondo device to receive ads

Electronics company Gizmondo will release a competitor to the Playstation Portable called the - wait for it - Gizmondo. The device will be able to play games, movies and music and is also web-enabled and have a GPS tracker. By using that GPS system the device will be able to receive region-specific ads, but only to those who buy the lower-priced system. There is a $229 ad-supported version or there is a $400 ad-free version. Gizmondo believes the trials it has been running the U.K. show that customers are more than willing to accept the ads for the lower price device. It'll be interesting to see if U.S. users are as understanding.
