Over the summer, I had written about the fantastic advertisement for the G-Whiz G Force Indicator seen on commercials for the Mini Cooper, thinking it wasn't for real. Well, as a commenter pointed out, it was indeed for real, and I've since seen the darn thing hanging off the visor of one of these cars. Yesterday, over at Adland, claymore showed another one of these nifty things you can purchase from a television commercial - the "Easy Button" from Staples. I have to say, that not only did I think this was absolutely brilliant and say so in the comments, but I bought five of them, and already got them today.
Over there, the trend is being called "Fictional Things From Television Commercial Campaigns Eventually Showing Up As Actual Things You Can Buy," or the really good acronym of FTFTCCESUAATYCB (thanks, Dab) - which, of course, will never work with our short attention spans. So, I ask, fair AdJab readers, what might be a great name for this marketing tactic - there probably is one, but I haven't heard it yet, so let's improvise.

1. acro-ads :) from acro- as in acronyms
