The MIT Advertising Lab was the first to hip me to Million Dollar Home Page, on which an enterprising young man in Great Britain sold advertising space by the pixel (well, not by the pixel exactly, as pixels are quite small) and has made quite a bit of money so far. MIT has looked into it a little more and discovered that many, many, many, um, many other people have latched on to the idea in order to raise money without having to do much work. My favorite so far is this site which sells "100% American made pixels" for one dollar each. God knows I'd hate to be unpatriotic.

25. Speaking of a pixel site to buy a house, try http://www.PixelMyHouse.com .
It is run by the webmaster@bostonapartments.com who was the original real estate portal on the web. The guy has helped so many get their housing......
