Yahoo! is looking to make its paid search advertising network more attractive to small businesses by dropping the $20/month minimum spending requirement. The move will hopfully encourage smaller (read: local) businesses to get into the paid search game which they may not have felt they had the budget for previously. There will still by a $.10 per bid minimum but by dropping what was essentially a minimum service charge more small (again, read: local) businesses may try out the paid search service with little upfront monetary commitment.
