The Advertising Standards Authority in the UK received over 70 complaints for a commercial which featured a cow wearing a blanket with the Burger King logo on it. Those who registered their complaints said the ad insinuated the cow would be turned into a hamburger. They called the advertisement distasteful and exploitive. I guess Burger King's only recourse is to make a commercial where they explain that hamburgers don't actually come from cattle, but are actually brought here in giant bags carried by storks.
Burger King's burgers are made from cows

(Page 1)2. Okay...I haven't actually seen the commercial so maybe I have no room to talk, but the description of the commercial seems harmless (it sounds about the same as the Chik-fil-a "Eat more chikin" ads). I really don't understand it when people get offended when they come face to face with the truth (then again...maybe it was 70 vegetarians who don't even eat at BK).

1. What are they thinking? The ad is totally appropriate. I think it would be distasteful to have any other livestock, instead of a cattle, wearing a Gurger King logo because it will make people wonder what kind of meat the hamburgers are actually make from.
