If you want to reach teens, this report from eMarketer
(via MarketingVox)
says, than you should advertise in games, on websites and other tech toys and media in general. They're spending more
time with this form of media so....argh....gasp...shake....
I'm sorry I was really going to try and keep the sarcasm out of this but let's face it: If this is news to you then schedule yourself for a course of Remedial Advertising 101. Is it really news that teens are using cellphones, portable game or music players and other handheld devices more? Is it really all that far of a stretch to figure out that they're using the web to a great extent to research things to do with or on these devices? Even if the only TV you watched for the last two years was The Apprentice you'd be able to tell that. And if you're reluctant about advertising on these devices or websites than you obviously have no desire to reach your audience. I'm not a genius but even I can tell you that's not the best marketing plan. If you're targeting teens, do so through the things that they interact with in their lives. If you're targeting adults, do so through the things that they interact with in their lives.

1. Oh I do so love a good rant;)
