You know how last year's Super Bowl contained a hi-larious ad about how a simple misunderstanding leads celebrities
to think that rap mogul P.Diddy now drives a Diet Pepsi truck? The spot then showed Carson Daly and other people I
didn't recognize following in Diddy's footsteps and tooling around in their own tricked-out Diet Pepsi
trucks.
Well this year's Super Bowl will take the idea and apply it to the Diet Pepsi can. In two commercials, one 60 seconds the other 30, the Diet Pepsi can is treated like a celebrity and feature Diddy as well as Jackie Chan. Comedian and actor Jay Mohr will play the can's agent (an inspired choice since Mohr played an out-of-luck Hollywood exec in the failed but great show Action). I'm sure hilarity will ensue when we see the can paraded around like a star because when inanimate objects are treated like people it's comedic gold.
