SBXL: New Line - "Running Scared"

First off, let me just state that I'm disappointed this isn't a remake of the Billy Crystal/Gregory Hines classic, if for no other reason it means Michael Macdonald won't be writing another theme song. That being said, this spot is a mix of wicked cool visuals and bad acting. It's the story of a mob pawn that is hiding guns he's supposed to be disposing of for his bosses. One of those guns winds up in the hands of his kids, who kills someone with it who shouldn't be killed.

The trailer conveys very little of that, though. Instead it focues on the aforementioned visuals at the expense of a good deal of plot. Yeah, it does seem that one of the characters is involved with the mob but that's about it. From the looks of the spot it could be any of a hundred mob-related flicks with very little distinctive about it. Very disappointing.
