PVR Wire
has an interesting story up about an ad by
KFC that seems to reward viewers who aren't fast-forwarding through the commercials on TV. If you watch the ad at
normal speed you can decode a message that will allow you to go online and get a coupon for a chicken sandwich at the
fast food joint. While Martin is certainly right in saying that the ad isn't exactly DVR-proof it is an unique way
they've found to try and encourage ad watching. Of course the fact that the people who did fast-forward never knew they
were missing and therefore have little to no incentive to change their behavior might be a problem.KFC rewards slow viewers
