Google and Nike's new Joga site

Taking advantage of the social networking that has become part of the Web experience, Google and Nike have teamed up to create an exclusive Web site for soccer fans and players called Joga.com. The name comes from "joga bonita" which translates to "play beautiful." Like GMail, the site is currently invite only, though Google claims it will be open to everyone eventually. Google constructed the site, with content such as videos being provided by Nike. Soccer fans who delve into the site will be able to post to blogs, upload videos, and create fantasy teams. In the meantime, both companies are remaining quiet about the launch, wanting instead to see how the community it gathers makes the site their own.
