With all the talk about advertising and product placement in
film, two pharmaceutical companies may have found a solution. Rather than try and clandestinely sneak products into a
feature film, make movies which actually star product mascots. This summer, check your local movie listings for Mr.
Mucus, based on Mucinex's CGI glob of
phlegm, and The Adventures of Digger Nail Fungus Infection, based on Lamisil's troll-like mascot. Oh yeah,
and I should point out that while you can check your listings for these movies, you won't find them because they don't
exist, except in this
humor piece from Dateline Hollywood. Although, I do think a tiny yellow monster who infects a person's
toenails would probably be about a hundred times better than Ice Age, which was kind of an annoying infection
in and of itself.Snot on the big screen
