100-calorie snacks are big

Snack food
makers are latching onto the idea of creating packs of snacks that contain just 100 calories as a way to counter some
of the criticism that they're the ones making Americans, you know, huge. Marketers are, of course,
playing up that 100
number as something that will very clearly and quickly resonate with consumers who are counting calories. Product
packaging especially has been utilized to play up the finite number of calories inside the wrapper or soda can. A
number of new products or packages have been launched to ride this trend's coattails, including 100-calorie sized
Coca-Cola cans and 100-calorie packs of Doritos and other snack foods.

1. A very smart move by Snack food makers. This will surely benefit them a lot. I am waiting to see the new slogans in the ads for the 100 calary foods. If this concept gets successful then we will see a new calary war.
