New 7UP ads

Following the truism that supposedly "health conscious" consumers will purchase anything as long as you just tell them it's healthy, 7UP plans to roll out a new ad campaign in May to tout the soda's "all natural" ingredients. Okay, to be fair, the company isn't making any claims about health benefits, but they are using the ad, which will show cans depicted as fruits and vegetables being plucked from the ground, to promote a healthier image after sales dropped slightly last year. I'm waiting for someone to do a study on sales of 7UP as it relates to the flu season, as I'm pretty sure the only time myself or anyone else has had 7UP is when they were sick. If the company could somehow patent the flu virus they'd shoot the top of the soda heap in no time. It's the chicken soup of carbonated beverages, I'm telling you. The new commercials will begin airing on May 8.

Really? Then come to South Asia- Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and you can find a lot of fans of 7UP.

2. I love 7up...its my main soda, but the new 7up SUCKS! It tastes more like Sprite now....an overly sweet, carbonated fruit juice.

3. is there a new 7Up coming out any time soon in Canada? Citrus Splash just ended. You can't buy it anywhere no more. When will the new one just come out already? 7 up needs a new flavour( hopefully cherry, or something good) or Tropicana should get back from last year.

4. Soda is bad for you regardless of what they do to it. Drink water and juice (unsweetened that is) unless you want to become a diabetic.

5. The whole damn campaign is a lie. The new 7UP still contains high fructose corn syrup, which is one of the worst things you can put in your body. Please see the following web page if you care about yourself.

6. The new 7up really really SUCKS. Like a 2 day old can of flat Sprite. I called them. The "old" version is gone. Their new packaging makes NO MENTION of there being a different taste... only that is "all natural". Very deceptive. Consumers should be told the "new" version tastes different. Call their toll free phone. Email them. Didn't Coke try a different receipe? Classic? If it ain't broke then don't fix it! -- Moreno Valley, CA

7. Poor flavor, bad texture, very flat. Packaging makes no mention of a different taste. Deceptive.

8. Stop trying to make 7UP "new" or better. The new stuffis horrible. I've always preferred 7UP over Sprite or whatever that Sierra Mist junk is, but not anymore. Change it back (OR better yet, stop with the high fructose corn syrup, use real, white, refined sugar (you know, that stuff that was supposed to kill us all) or Splenda in diet 7UP and call it a day. Stop using the high fructose corn syrup! Regardless, I'll switch to gingerale and stop buying 7UP if you don't bring back the old stuff. The End.

9. Yuck!!! New 7UP just taste flat. I've always chosen it over sprite because it wasn't so sweet and had a sharpness to it. Not any more. yuck!!!!!!!!!

10. has anyone tasted the new cherry 7up w/ antioxidants?!! its not the same it totally tastes like seltzer water...im so disappointed. they said it was due to a low popular demand....well now they spend more money to make new products and labels. UGHHHH! i want my old cherry 7up back!!!!!!!! :(

11. I am very upset with the new 7up too! The new 7up sucks! It use to be my favorite soda! It is SUPER bland and doesn't have much fizz. I am seeking any suggestions on another soda like the old 7up. I don't care for sprite because it has a horrible after taste and noticeable if on a date. Its ok to go natural but give us the option to stay with the old recipe! Its a soda, not a herbal tea!

12. If it ain't broke don't fix it! Coke tried and failed miserably. Personally I prefer Canada Dry over the new 7Up. It' not to sweet!
