Do you guys remember that really hysterical episode of
The Pink Panther when this guy walks up to Pink and asks, "How do I add additional layers of attic
insulation to a joist cavity that is only half full?" And Pink responds with, "If joist cavity is only half
full and the recommended insulation level in your area is R-38, fill the joist cavity flush with the top with the
appropriate thickness of fiber glass insulation?" That cracks me up every time I hear it, seriously.
So anyway, the above exchange is real, but it's from this new blog from Owens Corning, the insulation maker who has used the Pink Panther as their mascot since the early '80s. The blog is actually written by the Pink Panther himself, who I assume never spoke in his cartoons because no one ever asked him about putting in insulation. Apparently, he just can't shut up about it. The blog isn't especially helpful to me at the moment, since I have no immediate plans to insulate anything, but it's very informative, and having Pink write the blog is a cute idea, even if it is kind of unnecessary.

1. Yeah, he's a cool cat! Too bad he couldn't save his feature film francise.
