4. This is one of the most miserable and confusing ads i have ever seen

5. Why is the commercial shown in 3 seconds sections?

6. That was possibly the most long and drawn out commercial I have ever watched, and besides the little girl who shrugs when asked if she likes him, I think that was a complete and utter waste of two minutes of my life.

7. Awful. What's with the banana eating lady? Just eat the friggin' thing already! Who nibbles on a banana?

8. Very good spot. It kept me interested. The problem with all comercials is that they are played over and over so many times that you can't stand the sight of them a week after you first see them.

9. Looks a bit like an Alfred Hitchcok spot. COOL

10. Effective use of colors; Black, White, Tan... for story. Fastest two minutes in television.....

11. Very Wes Anderson, I liked it.

12. Very Wes Anderson. As a commercial by Wes Anderson, it was completley Wes Anderson. Wes Anderson fans "got it".
Everyone else may be not. But I don't care. I liked it, and that's all that matters to me.

13. Very "different" commercial but effective and interesting.

14. Does anyone know what the music is in the spot?

15. Though an interesting jab at creating an ad commercial I think it'll lose the regular viewer because the flow is awkward. Maybe we all seem to like it because we all like Wes Anderson? and the regular viewer won't even know who he is.

16. If you think this is an effective commercial you do not know marketing. There is a difference between a movie and commercial. Too long, too much not needed poses, poor acting and no connection with most audiences. May work in a specialized market viewing such as Wes Anderson "fans".

17. Great, if you're of above average intelligence, which I think may be the target market for AMEX anyway.
Otherwise, you armchair critics need to get back to your mundane drab little lives.

19. A good spot especailly when you consider who the target audience is for American Express. My "Visa" friends might not appreciate it, but they will certainly know it was an Amex ad. Maybe they will want to trade up?

1. I saw the spot last night. Loved it - and I love Wes Anderson. I don't even try to watch new movies anymore unless Wes Anderson (or Christopher Guest) is involved. Very effective commercial - I didn't turn the channel.
