I grew up on a farm in Iowa, and while I never had much interest in pursuing any kind of career in the agriculture field, there will always be a part of me drawn to the quiet simplicity of living in a rural area. One thing I remember about growing up is making frequent trips to Tractor Supply Company, a kind of one-stop shop for farmers, ranchers, cow punchers, lamb slappers, hog pokers, and whoever else I left out. Usually I don't expect much from advertisements for places like Tractor Supply, since it pretty much has a built-in customer base and doesn't have to worry so much about "wooing," but these commercials are actually pretty clever. I love the deadpan approach and the static use of action figures. It's amusing without being overbearing, the kind of light touch that's perfect for the sort of people who shop at Tractor Supply.
