CP&B have created yet another slightly funny and slightly innovative microsite for Burger King. The site, Huckin' Chicken, features a man in a chicken costume doing motorcycle stunts. That's the slightly funny part. The slighly innovative part is that the type of stunts the chicken performs is dependent on the number of visitors to the website. Each time the visitor numbers reach a new level, a new video stunt is unlocked. That's an interesting way to draw traffic as people come back to see if anything new has been revealed, and there's a convenient "Tell A Friend" feature so you can spread the word about the site. Once again, though, it's the creativity that gets the spotlight as opposed to the product it's selling. Burger King's branding is relegated to an almost invisible link to the right and the legal disclaimer at the bottom. What's advertising all about, again?Burger King's Big Huckin' Chicken

(Page 1)2. What happened to the Big Buckin Chicken? Why don't they have a Big Huckin Cow? What is Huckin? Why do I even give a rat's ass about this lame commercial?

3. So, what's next? The logical progression of replacing the first letter of _uckin' could be a little dicey with f and s. Also, if you're into urban slang t and m should be avoided.
However, if the sport theme is continued, might we see puckin' on a hockey rink, or ruckin' in a boxing ring?
Thanks for letting me vent!

7. Of all the stupidest, double entendre, commercial crap to be foisted on a dumber than dumb public; "huckin'" chicken has to take the cake. How the hell did the FCC let this one by the boards? Who thinks it's clever? Everyone with no brain, and hardly a sense of ethics or scruples. Whatever happened to: "It's really good eatin' chicken that's really tasty? Oh; sorry, too tame and sensible!? ubelievable.

8. "huckin'" is a term in motocross for big air.
thus, the clever part.

9. Are you kidding me? Big Buckin' Chicken was AWESOME! He is BIG....and he IS CHICKEN!!!! Hear him CLUCK!!! And Big Huckin' Chicken wasn't only a clever way of catchin' some big air, but he's gotta be the coolest chicken I've ever had the pleasure of meeting! You guys are wrong....the FCC couldn't sensor the 'Huckin' chicken because there is nothing "fowl" about it! I find myself singing the catchy buckin' and huckin' songs several times throughout the day. Don't be hatin' fellas! The chicken is here, and here to stay!
So stick that feather where the sun doesn't shine, and move the CLUCK on!

10. I like the Burger King ads, from the huckin' chicken to the guy waking up next to the King himself and being handed a breakfast item.

1. Once again, like with Geico, it shows that indirect advertising (although risky) works: You don't have to talk about company's products or offerings. Instead, all you need to do is to attract their attention to your brand with a unique, flashy persona/character. In case of Geico, it's the gecko. In BK's case, it's "huckin' chicken." In my opinion, it's more fun than listening to McDonald's boring "we like to see you smile" slogan, and see the smiling faces chewing on burgers.
It isn't easy to get attracted to a burger until you actually try it. But it is easy to have fun watching the stunts. My most favorite part is the music, however -- somehow it reminds me of James Browne's "Stay (Just a little bit longer)."
