MySpace to auction off search partnership

Last month I wrote that all the big names you'd expect were salivating over the possiblity they would be the ones to lose their virginity to be selected as a search partner by MySpace. Now SearchEngineWatch is passing on word that News Corp. plans to auction off their search business to one of the big three players, either Google, Yahoo or MSN. That could signal intent regarding a partner for contextual on-site advertising since that list of three companies also applies to the advertising marketplace.
