Brand-spanking new "American Idol" winner Taylor Hicks has been signed by Ford to star and sing in a new commercial that debuts, umm, today. The new spot will feature Hicks singing a brand new song and be tied into the year end sales event being run by the carmaker. Doing business with "American Idol" is not exactly new ground for Ford, who has been a sponsor of the kareoke tournament since 2002. The spot will come in two sizes, both 30 and 60 second. The new song is titled "Possibilites" and apparently has a completely danceable beat.Ford signs Taylor Hicks

(Page 1)2. I just saw the FORD commercial at http://www.fordvehicles.com/features/commercials/?id=2&cat=
and the People Magazine cover for hottest bachelor.
Not bad for a guy who Simon said cannot be commercial and should remain in the background.
3. Excellent move, Ford!!!

4. Good on ya, Ford! I have always been a GM girl but, if I could, I would buy a Ford TODAY just to make Tay look good...and because I appreciate having him on my tv screen again. We love him that much!

7. Saw the commercial. Is it a joke? Is the commericial suppose to make you laugh? Bad move Ford. Honest truth is that your male buyers aren't going to be persuaded to buy a vehicle by some fool who can't dance or sing. Nor any sensible woman buyer. Bring Toby Keith back! Has the slogan changed from Built Ford Tough to see you in Vegas?

13. Way to go Ford...I was soooo tired of Toby Keith and his dirty hat and bandana...what a yukko...it's about time for a classy good looking guy that connects living the American Dream and having FUN while doing it.

15. We are huge fans of Taylor. Thought he was not to be taken serious until the Elvis night and then things changed. He is living the American dream. Hats off to Ford for doing a "bold" move. They need some good guy images [no reference to TK]. We wish him the very best as his life is in high speed. May he always be true to who he is, as Paula so often said!
16. I love Taylor andI love Ford. Good Move Ford!

20. Wow. Hicks doesn't even have a career yet and he's already a sellout. So much for artistic integrity.
