Budweiser fills up the stadium

Television ads that take place in stadiums and involve the crowd holding up signs to create a gigantic mosaic isn't an especially new idea anymore, but give Budweiser credit for taking an old idea and giving it an interesting twist. In this spot, the same technique is used, but with some added twists to make it look as if a bottle on one side of the stadium is filling up a glass of beer on the other side. Really, just check it out. I like the idea, and I think the execution is great (I'm going to assume they used some computer trickery), but at the same time the ad has kind of a "cutesy" feel that just rubs me the wrong way. Maybe it's that annoying, satisfied sigh from the crowd after they've quaffed their pretend beer. It's like a great essay ruined by a teacher slapping a pink glittery heart sticker on it. Actually, that was a horrible simile, but hey, at least I know what I meant.
