Is Sony's new PSP ad racist?

Fellow Weblogs, Inc. site Joystiq has stirred up a bit of a hornet's nest with a post about a new ad, launched in Amsterdam, for Sony's upcoming Playstation Portable White. The three ads include one with a pure-white woman dominating a black woman, one with the black woman on top of the white woman and one where they're just about on equal ground. It's the first one that seems to be the problem specifically but the whole series shows the black woman as being much smaller than the white one. The folks commenting on the post are of two minds on the racism issue with some saying it's obvious they are racist and others saying they just don't see it. The one area of consensus seems to come from the opinion that the ads are dumb and don't do much to sell the PSP White.
