Mirroring a deal it has with Yahoo here in the Colonies, auction giant eBay has signed a deal with Google for the search engine/ad network to provide ads on eBay pages for locations outside the U.S. While it might have made a certain amount of sense for eBay to continue to partner with Yahoo for international sites, Google has a far better operation in that area right now than does Yahoo. It's an interesting partnership considering the number of ways Google and eBay are sort of competing against each other such as Google Checkout going up against eBay's PayPal service.
