Budweiser is
producing shows for viewing on the Internet, with their ads of course. The shows will range from comedy to game shows, to talk shows, and maybe a fashion show. As you can imagine this will all be Bud themed and aim to hook consumers with content to sell ads on the web shows. Bud thinks they are "ahead of the curve" by executing an Internet entertainment strategy, but as we know the Internet and entertainment have had a long and eventful history together, so this really nothing new. The funny part of this is that in order for Bud to get viewers to go online to their new site they will have to produce ads for TV, the very medium they are trying to get away from in favor of web-based content. Oh well, you do what you have to I guess.

1. It's potentially a gut-punch to the television business, except for one thing. Budweiser will have to figure out how to get people to its Bud.TV site, and the most effective means to do that will probably be, you guessed it, ads on TV.
