See Chevy's "Americana" spot

Try to get past the warnings someone inserted urging Stephen Colbert not to steal it and check out the 60-second spot from Chevy featuring John Mellencamp. It's the first in their new "Americana" campaign and, well, it's a little painful to watch. It's basically a hodgepodge of newsreel footage of Rosa Parks, Neil Armstrong, Ground Zero in New York and more, all set to a Mellencamp song. Actually the biggest problem I have with it is the song sounds like such a digression from Mellencamp. It's like he's purposely writing something meant to sound like it came off his "Scarecrow" album instead of the more artistically mature stuff he's been putting out lately.
