LonelyGirl15 signs on for United Nations campaign

YouTube sensation LonelyGirl15, a.k.a. "Bree," a.k.a. actress Jessica Lee Rose, has created an antipoverty video to promote a 24-hour event spearheaded by the United Nations and scheduled for this Sunday that is geared toward young people (hence the use of the Web as a platform and the recruitment of LonelyGirl15). Other amateur video makers have also contributed to the campaign, which also includes spots for television. This is not the first time advertisers have used YouTube or other video sites in this manner. The Ad Council has also been placing a lot of its ads on YouTube.
