Playboy files lawsuit against Chinese companies

playboyPlayboy has filed lawsuits against three Chinese companies, including Pearlboy Group, which, according to Playboy, have been making t-shirts with a design very similar to the magazines famous bunny logo. Playboy has asked the company to stop using the logo, and the name "playboy." In addition to the three companies, a retailer named Chen Xiongjun has been charged with selling the t-shirts to department stores in Beijing. Playboy is demanding $68,000 and an apology from each of the three firms. If this all sounds somewhat familiar, you might remember Starbucks won a lawsuit against Xingbake in China for using a name and logo that was very similar to Starbucks'.
