Below is a series of animated commercials created by Jay Ward Productions, the studio behind Rocky and Bullwinkle and George of the Jungle. The first commercial introduces two new Quaker cereals, Quake and Quisp, and the following commercials chronicle a feud between Quisp the crazy alien and Quake, a hardhat-wearing muscleman who creates his cereal in the center of the Earth. The animation and characters are easily recognizable as Jay Ward creations, and voice actors from Rocky and Bullwinkle such as William Conrad and June Foray (the voice of Rocky) can be heard, too. The commercials ingeniously pitted the two against one another, asking kids to choose one or the other, which, either way meant they were buying a Quaker cereal. A tad manipulative, sure, but the commercials were fun.
