  • YouTube's Chad Hurley teased audiences at a Publicis-hosted conference that within the next year there will some sort of way to watch his site's video clips on mobile devices. He wasn't sure how that would work or how it was going to be monetized yet but he sure got people talking.
  • After experimenting with using celebrities in its 2005 holiday commercials, Wal-Mart is dropping that approach this year in favor of more down-to-earth spots. The 17 commercials will feature a fictional middle-class family.
