They've been running that Ford Fusion commercial a lot lately, the one where the guy goes to a job interview at some really futuristic-looking company, and the guy he is going to have the interview with (Mr. Davis) is arriving late at the airport. Before the receptionist can reschedule the interview, the guy runs out the door, jumps into his Fusion, and races to the airport. He holds up a sign that says "Mr. Davis."
A question to all the bosses out there who interview potential employees: would you hire this guy? Would you say to yourself, "wow, this guy has spunk! And creativity! I think I'll hire him!" Or would you say, "whoa. This guy's kinda overbearing and creepy?"
Personally it shows creativity, but this guy has no idea what this executive is like, and it could misfire big time.

1. I would think that Mr. Davis would have made arrangements for a car service to pick him up, in which case the professional driver would get upset at the guy for interfering with his payday, or maybe Mr. Davis left his own car in the parking lot and will drive himself. It's only if Mr. Davis is going to get a regular taxi that this guy's aggressiveness would pay off (maybe).
Personally, if it happened to me, I'd turn down the guy's offer to drive me. I don't need to owe anyone a favor, however slight, before I've even interviewed them or gotten to know them.
