Google Update: 11/9/06

Bunch of moves lately from the Big G:
  • The quality of the advertiser's landing page will now be a factor in deciding ad placement in AdSense blocks. The landing page was previously just used as a basis for determining minimum ad bids.
  • AdSense publishers now have a new way to make their sites known to advertisers by choosing to show their sites "as an ad placement." This only works if you've set your site up as a custom channel and not a URL channel.
  • A planned expansion of Google's Video Syndications program is expected to allow AdSense publishers to syndicate video. The plans are running into problems from media companies unfamiliar with ceding control over their content, though.
  • We already kind of knew this, but now it's confirmed (more or less) that Google will roll out their Radio Ads platform for buying radio ad time by the end of the year.
