Fox says it has advertisers for O.J. interview

Next Monday and Wednesday Fox will air a two-part interview with O.J. Simpson that ties in with his new book "If I Did It Here's How It Happened" that details his speculation as to how he would have killed his wife had he been the real killer. Sounds like poison, right? No advertiser in their right mind would risk their reputation sponsoring such an affront to sensibilities like this. Well, actually, Fox says that it does have a number of advertisers lined up for the show. The network isn't saying who those advertisers might be and, as the article states, there's always the possibility that the ones who have signed on may still pull out. No one quoted in the piece can imagine what sort of brand would do this to themselves and neither can I.

Criticism of the special isn't limited to outside observers, either. Fox News talking head Bill O'Reilly says to boycott advertisers of the special. This marks the first time I've ever agreed with O'Reilly, a happening that will likely cause me to do sit-ups on Lake Shore Drive later.
