Seems Time Warner Cable and DirecTV are having a bit of a spat. That's been made worse by what Time Warner is calling a series of deceptive ads that have been produced by DirecTV. The satellite cable provider has created a bunch of ads in the New York area that make it sound as if football fans will not be able to see their favorite teams unless they drop Time Warner and join DirecTV. DirecTV offers the NFL Network whereas Time Warner does not. This is not true, says TW, who points out that local games are on the schedule. That's not the only thing that has honked Time Warner off. DirecTV also produced ads starring Jessica Simpson (who I would like to see in high-def) and William Shatner (DAH!!!!) claiming that their picture resolution is better than Time Warner Cable's. That's not true, says TW, who in the lawsuit labels DirecTV's picture quality as "merely equivalent." Oh snap!
