28. Wow we have 2 completely polarized sides here...uhm here's me in the middle. OK so the kid wanted to play Madden, not look at porn or whatever, so he told his parents so he could get the GAME he wanted to play.

Stop with the religious nonsense PERIOD. There are good mormons, there are bad mormons, same with every other religion and philosophy!!! The family suing EA games would just add to the list of frivolous law suits in the US, something we don't need. BTW LDS is NOT the only place where "morals" and "decency" are valued!

General life rules: Treat others like you want to be treated. AKA Don't be a friggin hypocrite

I hope EA games figures out what went wrong, that's a story I'd want to hear about! I also hope that kid gets his game.

29. If I was 14 and got this game, I wouldn't tell my parents. I would have money signs in my eyes and brain. Dang, I would turn right around and sell that game on eBay and rake in the money from the manufacturer's default mistake. Think about it. Nebody who doesn't jump on the band wagon on these mistakes should be slapped.

30. A question for those who say pornography has no place in society. Where would you really rather the government focus its efforts? On combating violent crime as murder, armed robbery and rape? Or on harassing peaceful adult use of pornography in their own homes? There is no proof that porn leads to higher rape or violent crime rates. In fact the opposite is true. Since police don't crack down on porn. They crack down more on murderers. As well jails would be too full of non violent and peaceful people with wars on peaceful conduct such as adult porn use. It takes parent to keep porn from their kids because they are right there with them at home. Government and the police are not and cannot be right there when porn hits the doorstep. When are we all going to learn that personal responsibility is the answer to our problems and not one government if necessary at gunpoint solution that asks government to point guns at people who have never hurt another person? Please think hard about it before asking to ban something. Think about the cost to working families in taxes as well as jail space that is needed for vilont people and not non violent people, as well as the opprtunities for police and government corruption that prohibitions make possible. Government regulating these things by puting an age on them, requiring Id to be shown to obtain them will make them hard for kids to get including even drugs. Prohibitions kill more people and ruin more families and people lives than the ever help. THis 14 year old did the right thing in telling his parents of something that made him uncomfortable and something was done by the game maker about it. THis solution was cheap and it worked without governments trying to act on it. Just remember, Jesus always asked his followers to behave and help others. He never froced or coerced them to do so. If we want to solve problems and help others, shouldn't we follow his example of non aggression?

33. Whats the big problem with this? It had to have been an accident of putting the wrong video game in the wrong case. I don't think anybody in the world is twisted enough to put an Adult Game in an E-Rated video game case just for a laugh. I'm not one of you people who says that there is anything wrong with porn because there isn't a thing wrong with it. I'm not a pervert either for saying this. My point is that if women and men want to volunteer to "Adult-Things" for other adults pleasure, then let it be there choice, if a person wants to look at it, let it be there choice. It's decisions that make the world turn, I mean take a look at Bush's decisions, we go to the war in Iraq and the whole country goes spiralling down with him because of his stupid decision.

I think it's pretty obvious why this young man told his parents what was happening. And it has nothing to do with snide but understandable remarks about where he's from. Or being the "rare" 14 year old who wouldn't want to see naked people.

Seems to me like it comes down to is that this young fellow didn't get the football game he paid for and was trying to figure out how to correct that. At 14, I'd probably have gone to my parents for their advice about that too. The irrelevant potshots at the family for being from Utah and such seem to say more about the poster making them than the meat of the story.

39. This just honestly could not be a funnier mistake. I honestly do not believe the parents should sue just to get a ton of money, That's not right. On a religious side did God not teach us to NOT be greedy? It was a mistake let them apologize and get over it.
