As if the program didn't have enough money coming in from existing deals and the licensing of the property across multiple platforms, "American Idol" has signed a bunch of new sponsors which will extend the brand's reach even when the show isn't on the air. Nestle and Dreyer are the first of six new sponsors to be announced who will be able to create Idol-themed promotions. Nestle will brand many of their candy bars with Idol logos and Dreyer will create new ice cream flavors that are Idol-oriented.
